Day 8 - keep on trucking

Wow!! I can’t believe that Day 8 is here already! Let me catch you up on the last couple days.

Day 6 went really well. My brain felt really good, I had motivation but not energy. I was clear headed and felt like I could tackle tasks. Then I went and ate too much sugar after dinner. How much is too much do you ask? Not as much as you might think. Only a bowl of cereal with sugar on top and a Drumstick ice cream cone. But it was enough. Day 7 I woke up with a huge cloud of fog in my brain. When they say, “you can’t see the trees through the forest”, my brain is the forest… And let me tell you there were no trees. Parkinson’s and brain fog just don’t mix

well, lesson learned: No More Sugar! So the fog started to lift around 3 PM though my energy was low for the rest of the evening. Needless to say I did my extra exercises, but I didn’t do the 21 day workout. Now I’m rested and ready to take on the day! If only I can remember the no sugar rule.

This morning I had a session with my physical therapist. We did most of ‘Total Cardio Fix’. There seems to be a lot of modifications for me, but not really if you look at it right. Instead of alternating, I just do one side at a time to “feel the burn” before switching sides. And a little less movement and jumping. No hopping for me!

The other way that I decided to modify the program is that I will continue the eating program but I will repeat the workouts at least 3 times. This will give me a chance to get to know the workout better and be more efficient. I am working on a video of me doing the workouts so you can see what a wreck I am, oh I mean how anybody can do this. Seriously, will have challenges or injuries to work around. We can always adjust the exercises for what you need.

Now back to the grind stone and I’ll remember to ”hold in my gut”!
